12 years would be a shady amount of time purely to satisfy the media. I got a mate that got sent down for killing three people and ended up serving only 9 years for it, maybe it's because it was pretty much 'drug war shootings' people didn't care as much. Don't really socialise with him anymore though because he's stuck in some bizarre fantasy world as if everyone needs reminding of 'his limits' and not to mess him around, ain't good at all, plus it's horrific to hear some tnuc bragging about murder

Weird though, in the UK 'life' sentences rarely outlast the average marriage
