it's been discussed before, but i think it's time to highlight it once again.
if you're recording online from a rinsefm or bbc stream...please don't record higher than 128kbs. the radio online streams run from 22kbs to 64kbs at the highest...so when you record at higher than 128kbs, you're actually making it easier to hear all the imperfections in the stream.
if you're recording in london live from FM or via DAB, then by all means go as far as 192kbs.
big up the long distance recorders, downloaders and thc/kidkut for the bandwidth. ez.

Goood thing, i can barely afford to keep 1/4 of one mix on my hardrive...
