Just curious what people do for fun here outside of music & production. Personally Im into poker (holdem), kind of a movie buff, i like food and cooking. i also snowboard in the winter. hmm also a fan of brewing my own beer and drinking in general i love competetive online video games and playing them stoned is especially fun. (currently stoked about starcraft 2 coming out in 5 days) i dabble in photoshop and graphic design. used to do graffiti and bomb alot in my highschool days but have gradually stopped doing that, though i still do sketch.

so what are your other hobbies DSF?

ummmm, playing games on pc, walking my dog, sleeping, going record hunting in charity shops and general looking for random stuff in charity shops and those kinda shops that have random stuff. recently started to actually leave the house more and chill round a mates house alot, its been nice getting away from the computer.

Mine would be... Gaming, visiting art exhibitions, doing my own art, love walkin' round the country side as well, being from London its so refreshing to see nature haha..I'm with Djake on the charity shop, shoppin' too! Get some great deals in there.

lately all i do is work all night at the club, get smashed afterwards, come back home at 11am, fall asleep and wake up just to find out i have to arrive at the club again in 30 minutes
looking for a regular dayjob atm so i can have a life again, as soon as that's done i think i should do some sports... i'm skinny as fuck
seriously, if you ever get offered a job at a club DON'T DO IT! no matter how many dj's you meet (fuckit, they all play david guetta anyway even the MOS guy last weekend) it sucks, and you can't go partying yourself anymore. plus, it turns you into an alcoholic

Understandable, but when I included it I meant designing and distributing propoganda, attending lectures and demonstrations, ect. Its a duty yes, but when I find myself in front of my computer doing graphic design, I feel like the lines blur.

I fancy myself a flaneur.

Also a big fan of finding myself at a regional airport on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, with a cancelled flight, wondering how we're going to get to Dallas/Salt Lake/Chicago/insert US hub City here and make our connecting flight so that we can play the next gig/get home/etc.

But seriously-- when music is both your job and what you do for fun, it's extremely tough to get out of it-- and extremely necessary. burnout is a real thing, something that i've been steadily feeling approaching the last 10 days. Entertainingly enough, when you're on the cusp of burning out is ALWAYS when you're on the cusp of doing your best work; really make it or break it time.

best way to do it is to work really, really focused and then GTFO.

so.... i'm in the market for a new bike. What do you lot think of flip-flop hubs, from fixie to single-gear?
