soundcloud being tight?

Post by mistayif » Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:05 pm

have soundcloud taken away more features available to us free users again? the stats for this week are gone and i'm pretty sure a couple others have been limited.

how long before we all have to pay per track we upload

Yeah I noticed this too. Maybe they are making it better for us. But I seriously doubt it.

Na, its just a technical problem....I searched for it on google and saw a post with soundcloud saying they are trying to get it back up asap.

They've got to have gajillions of terabytes worth of our audio on their servers for free. Yeah it fucks up, but you can always not use the service. Myspace beckons. lolzer.

Cant complain if somethings free right?

Thats why i have a basic paid account, and got bitchy when soundcloud went down and they upgraded me with extra upload time 8)
They are nice people and are actually a small team based in germany. I believe they are the fastest growing music service post myspace available.

I hadn't even noticed this time. It can be a little irksome sometimes but I don't really mind sound clouds occasional fuck ups, it's better than using myspaz

I kinda agree, but it's fucked when they start out as a free service, get us hooked and then slowly take away features

loads of marketing works this way...... all that vitaminwater that people give away on the streets, get it known as a 'staple brand' (much like how soundcloud is becoming the new myspace for music) and then make money out of the brand.... or something like that, i think its fair enough

I bought an account a couple weeks ago. I don't use or really intend to use any of the features at all, but I do use Soundcloud every day, and felt it was right to 'donate'.

Respect to Soundcloud. For the amount of stuff they have to deal with, they get it spot on.
