post your tunes in the dub section

but oke....the intro is oke wel the bass kicks I expected something larger
and I was waiting till something dark big and heavy was coming

but the whole track felt like a really long intro to be honest

but your mixdown sounds pretty though, so that's a plus

why should it have to build up? is that essential in all dubstep ever made?

all music, except for old school boom bap hip hop

listen to some classical music, you'll know what I mean

a track is like a car in traffic, sometimes you give gas and sometimes you hold back and you need to find a good balance between that

well it is only half of the full song, but still. alot of minimal chilled tunes dont have gigantic build ups.. its just personal taste.

Yo man,

Definitely understand where this guy is going with the intro sounding stuff. Gotta admit it does sound a bit like a long intro and a drop is pretty essential in dubstep. However, it depends what type of dubstep youre making. For example, Borgore likes gorestep, this whole filthy mega drop rap dubstep that everybody loves. It's up to you what youre gonna make, if youre gonna make something that a bunch of people are gonna chill out in a room and get wasted to then thats fine, thats big in the underground. I liked your tune, was proper chilled. Try and switch up your style a bit though man, in other tunes get a drop going, because as good as ambient shit is, a drop is fucking immense, and if you can get a successful drop going on in a club, youre looking for resident DJ spots.

Dav.id is definitely right though. Get some drops going man. I was expecting a little more, but like I said, I like ambient, so whatever. Switch your style in later tunes though. Post more up when your done. Drop us a message or something when youve got some more going too.

Neither life or death interest me. So, instead, I'll just listen to music.

WUT?

switch your style, this dude has showed you one 'ambient, chilled' track and your telling him to switch up styles to have a drop so he can be a resident DJ? why should he make filthy drop bangers just cos you said so? we dont want more shit bangers, we want less.

Im all for producers having tracks that dont sound the same old shit, but there is plenty of ways you can make chilled tracks and have them not sound exactly the same as each other, without having to make bangers.

dubstep doesnt need drops, if he wants to make more chilled stuff then thats entirely up to him!
