I'll answer with a question;

How long is a piece of string?

I usually spend somewhere between 30-40 hours on a track from start to final mixdown, sometimes more. If I don't have any kind of deadline (self-imposed or other) I'll often spend longer tweaking and trying out different ideas. With work and everything else it takes me forever to finish tracks. :?

Best song I ever made, I completed in 4 hours at night time.

It's also the harshest, darkest and most violent song I ever did.

Suffice to say, it wasn't a good night!

these days it generally takes me a week or 2 of intensive tunage.

before i could quite easily spend months on a tune. most of which was spent wasting time.

Really depends on the song itself, sometimes I can finish something pretty quick. Other times it takes a few weeks. Most of the time tho I don't finish it, but plan to come back to it a few moths later.
