Wobble tunes
Wobble tunes
Anyone else getting bored with them? I know this has been done but...
Re: Wobble tunes
You're not alone, mate. I'm really disappointed by Skream's new one - pure wobble, and none of the really catchy melodies/basslines he used to write.Fisto wrote:Anyone else getting bored with them? I know this has been done but...
Not too bothered about the wobble being omnipresent really if it's done well. I'd like to hear more hooks though as sometimes hearing a mix set it all seems to blend into one (which may be the point, but I don't get it). Thing I'm starting to miss is tunes that are more distinguishable from others if that makes sense. All underground scenes seem to struggle with this though, seen as to pop if there's anything that hints at a more mainstream structure, even if it's good.
Check the sub fm ruffage mix from last night when it's up - good varied styles on offer there.

Re: depends
i don't get this hating on wobble or any aspect of the sound (e.g halfstep) for that matter. Not every tune has to reinvent the fucking genre. If it makes my head nod then i'm into it. end of.
is it?
NO.
NO.

Christ, never thought id see a post about skreamizm 3 that wasnt something along the lines of "shit the bed, bit of mash and gravy and it would be 24 inches of pub classic".inspector wrote:Skreamizm 3.Furiouz wrote:Which one are you talking about?inspector wrote:You're not alone, mate. ...on a slightly more serious note though, i really dont have a problem with it. No matter how many wobblers there are, they still make me absoloutely fucking lose it live. And as far as im concerned thats pretty much the point. (Im not saying non-wobblers dont make me 'lose it' as much as wobblers, but im not going to dismiss a tune for being wobbly. If its big, its big.)
