Im a little late but I just found the game SecondLife and Im hooked. Shit is rediculous. I found the game after being informed that I was "spinnning a club there" during my radio show on thursdays. My show is now regularly rebroadcast in the virtual club 'Bassland' at the same time as my reg show on Reload. http://www.secondlife.com

The best part is, its free to sign up! And you can make money in the game that transfers to real life...

yeah, I heard about them... saw an article in the SF chronicle (i think) with an interview with one of the leaders. I kinda see their point, but at the same time, its suposed to mimic real life and having the kind of money involved that the larger corporations can bring in could benifit everyone in the game. I dunno how I feel about it yet... its interesting, thats for sure

I downloaded it and played it for an afternoon. Overall, I just couldn't get into it. It seemed too purposeless to really engage me at all. Most of it seemed to be just alot of wandering around aimlessly, and chatting w/ people wanting to sell you something.

Heh, I get enough of that in real life....let alone a second life.

So after two nights of 'playing' for a while I agree that there is a lot of wandering around, havent really met anyone trying to sell me much, but saw a lot for sale. I think the best part of this is the music aspect. In my friends club there are always a few peeps hanging out if you wanna spin for someone, and theres always some music going on somewhere. Her club, Bassland, is now an all dubstep club continuously playing Reload-Radio. Theres even decks and a mixer next to the huge bassbins!

All in all its a fun distraction, something to do, Im sure Ill eventually get board with it and not use it as much, just like myspace, but its fun now. Im gonna see if I can figure out how to throw a 'Rave' in there...
