Post by DRTY » Tue Sep 14, 2010 12:30 pm

I wouldn't know how to do describe it myself either, but I do know they should stick to dnb. Imo.

Try this mix mate, its really good and has a load of artists that might fit the sound you are looking for.

You have probably heard this Kryptic Minds studio mix but again it might have the vibe you are after.

What about SPL? I think the only reason BSE's stuff is so good is coz they're masters of electronic production (oh and dirty as 2!) I find most DnB artists are phenomenal at producing Dubstep!

I wouldn't mind hearing some half-time DnB from them, not particularly 'drumstep' as that seems to be an excuse to just make a kick - snare drum line with 1/64 continuous hi-hats

Vesicle (some really exciting shit form them lately), Gravity, some of Culprates less glitchier bits, Broken Note, Niveau Zero, could go on for ages.

Really liking these two, Niveau especially.

Seems to be experimental & interesting without being 'ambient' or 'filthy', something genuinely fresh.

Thanks, Ill give it a listen ruckspin.

Is minimal DNB different to Drumstep because im familiar with a lot of those artists and have heard a lot of minimal DnB (just reminds me of the late 90s sound with a bit more 'atmosphere') where as when I searched Drumstep I was given a different (slightly dis-jointed)sound...
