Shroom Season!!

Post by venuq » Thu Sep 16, 2010 7:24 pm

So, has anyone been mushroom picking yet?

I got 70 in about half hour which isn't bad going really, since the weather has been pretty miserable I guess it's the right conditions for em.

There's still plenty of time left so Im sure it won't be the last trip either.

It's not too bad with the liberty caps round here cos there aren't really any dangerous lookalikes, It's a bit of a different tale if your hunting for cubensis etc..

Haha! I have been on there once or twice but I think I need to refresh my memory, good shout.
I think if it rains tonight I might have to return to the fields tomorrow morning for more funghi.

Went for a little scout last week but it's been too warm round here really. Cannot wait for a few chilly nights

Do they actually grow in Belgium? I think the weather conditions in Belgium are actually pretty good for shrooms to grow.

Got around 600 yesterday, my mate got near enough the same, all in one patch about half a mile from my house. It's the only good thing about living in the middle of fucking nowhere.

I'm in Dorset, going for a hunt this weekend. I'll let you know.

I always thought the Mendips were meant to be good for picking Libs.
