Following on from our cutting edge showcase event at the FutureEverything Festival 2010, we’re opening our next Autumn/Winter season of dances with another forward thinking line-up of bass troubling producers including two exclusive Manchester débuts.
Having given Kryptic Minds their Manchester dubstep début last year we’re pleased to welcome them back to the fold alongside two of the most exciting producers in electronic music today. This will be the first time Headhunter has DJ’ed in the Manchester under his new Addison Groove pseudonym - a full two months a head of his Warehouse Project set. If that wasn’t enough, we’re also extremely proud to present the much hyped Girl Unit’s Manchester début too – fresh off the back of his U.S tour.
Room Two comes courtesy of the inimitable Heavy Rain crew showcasing some of the best local talent Manchester has to offer.

2009 saw the musical rebirth of Kryptic Minds. Having spent the past ten years at the very forefront of the Drum and Bass scene, the production duo switched their attention to 140BPM soundscapes to devastating effect. Championed by post-garage Godfather Loefah, Kryptic Minds released their debut L.P ‘One of Us’ on Loefah’s Swamp 81 imprint last year; receiving critical acclaim from across the globe and cementing their status as some of the freshest and most refined producers in bass music.
Arguably now one of the most highly sought after names in dubstep, the Kryptic Minds sound is characterised by deadly sub bass attacks, huge, syncopated half-step beats and crystal clear production values – creating an otherworldly tension on the dance floor. This is one for the hoods up skankers; dark doesn’t even come close to describing it.

Addison Groove is the Ghetto House-ing alter-ego of Headhunter, aka Tony Williams. Already highly respected in the dubstep and techno communities alike, the last 12 months has seen Williams relentlessly dropping ferocious Chicago Juke sections into his DJ sets. His new Addison Groove moniker is where that sound is allowed to come to the forefront, albeit with an original twist that’s to be expected from one of the most interesting and mercurial producers in electronic music today . Normally set between 150-160bpm, Williams own production take on the Juke sound has seen him refine the groove down to a dubstep compatible 136bpm. The resulting sound is absolutely colossal and produced perhaps THE dancefloor track of the year- “Footcrab” - featuring stripped down 808 drum machine beats, acid basslines and hip-hop / booty-leaning vocals.
Big, big party vibes in the dance with this one…
