The chorus on this page is said to be good. I use logics built in chorus.

I completely forgot those effects!
Need to jump on those son. the rig mod sounds different to the logic stock rig mod. A bit sweeter.

In which situations would chorus be more applicable than a short delay setting?

Just tried Monstachorus and D16's Syntorus.
Syntorus is well worth the 35 € imo.

With choruses you have finer detailed control of its 'churn'.

yes mate, when i'm feeling lazy (or want actual sync'd delays that don't fall off), rather than use hardware i'll use the tape delay in the pedalboard. very hip fx in there.

Fair enough....the reason I asked is that I read on Audiotuts that choruses are (more or less) being replaced by delays/verbs in FX chains. I suppose that's only one author's opinion though.

it depends if hes talking aout minute delays like in ms or actual tape delay effects... :/
Because chorus is made from phase delays like flangers but with the stereo channels offset. (L + R)

as im reading some of your posts I can see you are all much more knowledgeable about this than I am. I am using chorus right now to widen my Highs across the pan spectrum(3 band bassline). As im reading your posts I dont know if I am using for the right reasons(or maybe there are more uses for it than I know)

are there other plugins I should be using for this purpose and are there ways I could be using chorus?
dont really know much about tape delays either lol

minute delays in ms

Personally if I want to widen my sound I will usually chuck in some sort of stereo delay (example: L -- 1 ms, R -- 10 ms) on my upper mids/highs.

are there any plugins that just add voices so you could just put that on your highs?
I guess you could do this in the DAW and resample a different synth patch with more voices but a plugin would make it much easier lol

u mean some kind of unison fx... u could bus it to a couple channels and apply different effects to each (i guess that would be an equivalent at some point (!?))
