i like the vibe but not really into how much pump there is on the pad vs kick. pretty anal thing to gripe about i know but it sounds all wierd to me. but starkey is dope one miss and a ton of hits aint no biggie.

Tune's nothing special at all. There are so many other tunes in this vibe that use way better percussion and are much more soulful.
That synth is cheesy, he uses really stock drum sounds like just a simple clap and some bland percussion, and just side chains his kick to the pad for the familiar ducking effect...I like Creature way better

seriously though (and I might by slightly exaggerating) but the only big name DJs across the pond that I've heard play starkey tunes are elijah & skilliam, dusk & blackdown, and plasticman

this has always baffled me

only heard ephemeral exhibits so can't say i'm ultra familiar with all his stuff, just really didn't like synths on this tune and that clap.
