Re: Feedback Thread
not my ting but some good production skills. only concern would be the kick. it seems to have only a few lower frequencies than your snare! in fact, sometimes it even sounds the same. bring some low end into that my man. kicks should thump or boom. not sound like a muted snare!

You know what yeh your the first person to say this and I completely agree with you about the kick. Its hard to get that kick to sub ratio tho and on a system you can feel the kick a lot trust I've played it out a few times and its probs a bit too loud. Thanks for your honest opinion man much appreciated.Capture pt wrote:not my ting but some good production skills. only concern would be the kick. it seems to have only a few lower frequencies than your snare! in fact, sometimes it even sounds the same. bring some low end into that my man. kicks should thump or boom. not sound like a muted snare!

Re: Feedback Thread
Yeah its alright, snare could do with some brightening, the bass is alright but could have done with a more varied melody.
not too keen on the vocal samples, and the drums could do with a re-do with some harder hitting one shots but is ok. Bass sounds nice!WelshVersion wrote:hey just started working on house music how does this sound?? would love some feedback![]()

That is really nice. Lots of stuff to like in there. the claps, the rhythmic interplay between the bass and the wah wah chords... Really enjoyed it tbh!
Tusk is a sweet tune too man. Safe!
Really enjoyed the first one. Nice slow burner. Second one is nice too, lovely chord progressions. I imagine they'd sound really nice mixed together in a set.

This is really nice, I can see what you're going for, but I found myself kind of thinking 'get on with it' a few minutes in. I'd cut it down a little, bring in the hi-hats sooner and develop the musical idea a little more. It's very chill though, nice.skins345669 wrote:Soundcloud
I tried to make some dub techno and it came out like this. Little half-time section in the middle.

Re: Feedback Thread
And so,
on to my new track, as always super interested to hear any and all feedback.

Nice work. Great energy and vibe to it. My only criticism is the stabby chords and the squelchy bass line are playing in the same frequency range and hitting at exactly the same time and are getting lost amongst each other, and are both saturated/distorted a little too much. Maybe dial back the distortion on the chord stabs for a bit of contrast in texture. Also at 1.45 ish , the last three notes in the progression, where it goes up, try taking out the chords all together and give some room for the acid bass. It'll create a nice interplay between the two parts, rather than having them play in unison constantly. Actually, it does that a little later in the tune, but they still sound like they're competing for space. But now I think I'm being overly critical.... it's a great track and would get me dancing!

Re: Feedback Thread
I'm looking for some feedback on the tune in my sig - it's totally different to what I'd normally make so keen to get some opinions. Cheers.
