Whilst I can appreciate Burial's production, I just don't get it. It's just not me. I can see why some DnB heads are gonna start ripping on such a remix - the original is an absolute classic and it's gonna piss people off.
I come from DnB originally and I personally couldn't give a shit if Burial wants to remix it or what the remix is actually like. It's not like i'm gonna play it.

I prefer the Burial remix to the original.

not necessarly I was technicly a dnb head a year or so ago, I am moving more into dubstep now but still there are alot of dnb heads that appreciate good dubstep. But there are obviously the ones that hate Dubstep because its the in thing to do in dnb kind of like the pendulum situation people hate it and they dont know why.

Why let this bother you so much? You like it? Isn't that all that matters?

Lot of positive comments on there too. Looks like a lot of jump-up heads on there though.
I haven't even heard the track yet :? Guess I'll have to check it tommorrow :)

Turn the situation around :

Let's say Slumdogs remixes a dubstep classic : I'm gonna go with Roll With the Punches by peverelist. They turn it into a midrange clutter fest and deprive it of any real bass and turn it into complete jump up hypefest (just to compare the severity of the change).

I wouldn't be happy. That being said : there are some absolutely retarded comments in that thread.

For me it beats the original 20338 times and I even like Commix (as opposed to most d&b). It is a bit stretched though, 4 minutes would have sufficed.

original is such a tune. burial's remix is aight, with this said it doesnt mean I appreciate dnb over dubstep or vice versa..
