APPLEBLIM aka Laurie Osbourne - one of the masterminds behind the now infamous Skull Disco label and heavily techno-influenced Applepips label - returns to BASSIC for a second installment of serious bass music! For those that don't know, Laurie is one of the resident DJ's at London's legendary night FWD>>. His history and experience in the music industry has allowed him to tweak his focus and continue along the path of his very successful career. Laurie is one the most unique and exciting producers to come out of dubstep, so expect the unexpected at this very special edition of BASSIC!
Warming up the crowd for APPLEBLIM is our good friend and former Bostonian Alex Incyde! Alex has been one of the hardworking individuals behind the very successful Hotflush Recordings. Hotflush was founded by Paul Rose aka SCUBA. Incyde is a DJ and electronic music producer based in New York City. Striving to create unique and dynamic atmospheres in bass-driven dance music, he draws from the finest dubstep, techno, and experimental beats. He is a resident DJ at Dub War NYC, which has long been the premier bass music event in NYC for the past five years. He also manages the Hotflush Recordings label, writes for Big Up Magazine, and hosts a radio show on Sub.FM. Alex's broad taste in so many fine forms of electronic music, paired with the rare ability to bring it all together, makes his sets a consistently unique experience. JUST IN: PANDAI'A WILL BE GOING B2B W/ INCYDE! The finest lady of the dubstep 1s and 2s will bring her mighty selections into the mix once again to do it up proper.
Opening pressure will be provided by SUBduction crew member General Motor. Expect to be warmed up with a bit of the 'Triangulation effect' - house, techno and dubstep all swirled into a fine Neopolitan set.
