Egyptrixx - Debut LP
Egyptrixx - Debut LP
I heard rumours (squeegiesounds, etc.) that Egyptrixx will be releasing his debut LP early 2011, on the Night Slugs imprint. Can anyone confirm these speculations (Bok Bok, I'm lookin' at you), or give an approximate release date?
Huge fan of everything Egyptrixx does, and I'm very curious to see what an LP would be like from him.

SIX MONTHS...oh god...i guess that gives plenty of time to build hype. and get his sets in. dude needs to come back to montreal, i missed his last set here.can we just not talk about this for another six months?
i swear to god i'll help promote an album release party if it comes to it...i can't stand how few people know about this guy in canada. the shambhala set aside he doesn't do too many big venues.

non-canadians dun know the lingohaha is this short for toronto then yes, t-dot
but yeah he's def from there. west toronto as far as i know. still, while canada's got its share of good artists, not many people are into the UK dub/garage/whatever the fock/gutter house sounds. sad, really.

Re: Egyptrixx - Debut LP
is egyptrixx down with xi?
it seems to me that right now vancity (and bc in general) is some sort of 'mecca' for bass music. but i'm under the impression it's more glitch-hop and ting. and perhaps rottun as a whole lol. plus they got shambhala which is pretty ill.
but yeah, soon enuff. it'd be nice if us folks up here could develop our own thing...our own take on this whole bass music thing, an entire movement.
soon enough i suppose.

Re: Egyptrixx - Debut LP
for sure. BC is all about the chainsaw clownstep shitwank lately; datsik, excision, downlink, doctor p, etc. it's really disappointing. glitch is making inroads there too, but from friends who live out there part of the year everyone has extremely monotonous taste in music. shambhala at least represents a few different angles, even if all the "biggest" acts are the boring dubstep ones.
