DJ Shadow on Dubstep

Post by j0e1 » Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:23 pm

always good to see one of the most influential artists in modern music talking sense

http://www.clashmusic.com/news/dj-shadow-on-dubstep

DJ Shadow -
"I’m keen to not dilute dubstep with my own very distant perception of it. Because I know it has a very fervent, passionate, hardcore base to it. If I didn’t grow up in this country, attending those clubs ten years ago I don’t feel qualified to critique it. I enjoy it and I listen to a fair share of it it but I’m not an expert."

i think there are a lot of music journalists who need to understand this when they talk about Dubstep
:P
