Essential Dubstep, Grime, and House albumns and 12"s

Post by amathew » Sun Oct 24, 2010 10:32 pm

I'm new to dubstep and just wanted to start buying some records. I've built a very nice collection of punk and hardcore records, but now am listening more and more to electronic music and indie-pop. Are there any essential albums or 12"s that I should check out? I'm interested in Dubstep, Grime, and House.

I'm in the US. What distro's or mailorders do most of you in the states use. I know about Forced Exposure, but what else. I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere, so I can't just go to the local record store.

Yeah, I should like said classic and not essential.

If someone wanted to start listening to punk or hc, I'd tell them to check out Black Flag, SS Decontrol, Misfits, Bad Brains, etc....classic bands.

That's what I was asking about.

Really good if you like Garage and that early Grime sound.
