Hailing from Rotterdam, Netherlands, Deformer is coming to Brooklyn to blow it the fuck up! Involved in the European jungle since the early 90's, at which time "real" junglists revolted against the new commercial alternative drum n bass, Deformer had already been producing tracks of an experimental nature which would land them on various compilations. After releasing their debut album "Fxecutioners", audiences could not get enough of Deformers traditional raw jungle sound, that was infused with dark drum n bass. In 2001, Deformer came out with the, now classic, "Slasher" 12", with a title track that is considered a cutting edge piece of work with it's steady rhythm and typical Rotterdam hardcore sounds, which is now filed under the "breakcore" sub-genre. This also gave them the chance to do a collaboration with Slipknot DJ Starscream. After releasing a few more albums, Deformer was voted the best act in the Netherlands in 2006. Recently Deformer has produced an official remix for rap legends Public Enemy track, "Check what you're listening to". Made with the tradition of the recognizable Public Enemy sound, and with the furious speed of Deformer. They have also ventured into heavy dubstep driven tunes, with recent releases on Bong-Ra's, Clash Records and on their two latest EP's, "Diabolical" and "Defsteppah", which also contain remixes from 6Blocc & Bong-ra. Bring a helmet, cause Deformer is dropping bombs on the night!
