COSMETICS - RATAS/THE DROOL [FORECAST]
Forecast Recordings presents...
COSMETICS
A: Ratas
AA: The Drool
Cat: FCST003
Hailing from Szeged aka Sun City, in the South of Hungary, Forecast Recordings is focused on bringing the best in hip shaking beats on the more melodic side of Dubstep, Future Garage, and Techno Bass.
“We want to take our listeners on cerebral journeys on and off the dancefloor!” – Tommy Lexxus.
After digital releases from artists such as Forsaken and Genetic Kru back in the years, Forecast joint forces with San Francisco based Bassism Records and became its first sub label.
With an international roster with forthcoming singles from producers like Holland’s Vandera, Australia’s Droid Sector & Draft Portal, Germany’s Twisted & TKR, Ukraine and Russia’s Lostlojik & Faib, they has backed themselves with an arsenal of classy bass weaponary to hit the audience this fall.
The first vinyl release comes from two old Drum & Bass heads who came together to write some of the most forward pushing sounds of our time. The legendary U*F*O*! from San Francisco, and .s0n!k@ from Costa Rica form Cosmetics. The duo drops two subby rollers on Forecast, that are both deep but retain such a heaviness to them that work the dancefloor into frenzies.
'Ratas' comes with their unique percussion rhythms accompanied by a heavy sub and a nice cut up vocal melody. On the flip 'The Drool' operates with '90s techno synths and a progressively growling bassline with the sick drumwork you would expect from these two prolific producers. Both are proven instant crowd pleasers.
Mastered at Precise, Artwork by 2krazy, Distro by Cargo & In Grooves.
