setup advice
PC Laptop Toshiba Satellite
Ableton Live Intro
Focusrite saffire 6 usb soundcard
Alesis M1 Active 320 USB Studio Monitors
Akai MPK Mini Midi Keyboard Controller
The Novation Launchpad Controller
Any thoughts, I've been experimenting and learning the craft on a friends set up which is different to mine, I just wanted to familiarise myself with ableton, this will all connect easily? Good starter set?
Thank you

Re: setup advice
those are passive monitors so you'll need an amp for them so it would be interface to amp, amp to monitors
Re: setup advice
yeah I assumed so, what do you think is a decent starter set of speakers?

Re: setup advice
cool thanks, from the research I've done I think as I am starting out I might buy the soundcard focusrite saffire 6 and the alesis active m1 320 speakers, then work up to the larger studio monitors

Re: setup advice
You might aswell just save up money to better monitors to start with, no point investing in shit ones then upgrading down the line

Couildnt of put it better myself. Same with all things im passionate about, go expensive becasue if you buy the cheap option you'l still buy the expensive one down the line.DZA wrote:You might aswell just save up money to better monitors to start with, no point investing in shit ones then upgrading down the line
