I saw him at the Union Chapel this week before Tom Jones. Apparently it was the 2nd time the band had performed and playing in such a venue brings a lot of pressure. It was fairly sloppy and the levels were shit (sound techs fault i know) resulting in whatever magic he seems to capture being lost. I'm not sure if he'll get a Mercury - imho i'd tip Darkstar over him.

I look forward to seeing him perform in a years time when they've got their performance locked - esp the drummer, he was all of the place....

Respect to Mr Blake as a bedroom producer but Im not convinced this could crossover into live performances.. I hope im proved wrong.

I heard FlyLo's live band was off when he first started performing Cosmogramma but they got it together after a few shows. Hopefully Blake's turns out the same

I'm hopefully seeing James Blake next week.

I wonder whether it'll be live, or a DJ set.

Either way, I am excited.
