but honestly ... the bar needs to move it to a place with a real sound system and book some real dubstep talents... just some advise...
A hoax? HAHA. My shows are never a "hoax" and if you want I'll pull many credible opinions on the subject. Figures that the shit talk would be coming from you, someone who claims to be part of the original Beat Camp crew here in South Florida but when asked about it by Beat Camp members themselves doesnt give a straight answer if any at all. Skream didnt show because he missed his connecting flight from Lisbon to Madrid before he was supposed so get on a plane here to Miami for my event. Shit happens. Ive been having headliners out here on a weekly basis for about a year and a half and have 6 years total of doing events with many of the biggest names in dance music and hiphop. Unfortunately sometimes people miss flights. Thats not my fault. Besides it was posted all over the venue (and it was a FREE party) so if anyone really only wanted to be there for Skream then they could have left and done something else. I wasnt hiding the fact that he wasnt going to show up. Photek showed.
As far as the sound system, what you say is laughable. Many bass-heavy artists (more than half of my events have a D&B headliner) have played on the same system (its the house system) and pretty much everyone gives props to me in person or on the internet or in magazine articles, wherever to whoever, about how slamming the sound system is. Its LOUD, its HEAVY, and its CLEAR. For people who know, its Nexo tops with custom made bassbins.
As far as bikinis and heels...I invite anyone reading this to check out the pictures of the event for yourselves and tell me whether or not you see women at the event. I guarantee its a "yes". And as far as gay guys, what do you care? Everyone is invited to my events...yes everyone, even your shit-talking self.
You can find pictures from many events on the Laundry Bar myspace:

there is also flyers from some past events, pictures of past guest djs / live acts, and our upcoming event schedule, if you need more proof that what we do @ Laundry Bar is quality and fun.
Here is a pic from the particular night in question incase you dont have a myspace account or whatever:

as far as booking "real" dubstep talent, you must not know much about the local dubstep scene because TS Heritage who was the 1st person out here to push the sound is a resident at the bar! Unfortunately he doesnt live in the state anymore but whenever he is in town he comes by and throws down. Myself and Wreck, the 2 weekly residents, also play some dubstep. But remember this is not strictly a dubstep night, we play all types of music as long as its good and bass heavy.
I can't believe I just spent all this time explaining myself to you, since you dont deserve it, but hopefully this clears some things up. We have other events with dubstep headliners coming up in the next few months. See you there, or not, either way it'll be a great time for people who love music.
and Yes, one thing I do agree with you is that ILL FACTOR tore it up. As did OTTO VON SCHIRACH and PHOTEK. The whole night was very memorable and a lot of fun. Thanks for coming and being a part of our 6 YEAR Anniversary.
