Keyboard?
Yo, I wanna learn to play piano and I need a fully weighted 88 key keyboard for under about 3-400 squids. Needs to have midi out, but other than that no specific requirements other than it has to feel nice to play.
Safe.
Safe.

I have no suggestions to be honest but I would get something with aftertouch you will thank me later.
Re: Keyboard?
I bought a shitty 61 key casio with light up keys and 300 sounds and MIDI Out for $140 brand new. It's fucking awesome and I'm actually learning keyboard on the fuckin stupid thing.
I saw 88 keys at the store I was at for like $180-200

This. I basically hate anything with that "brutal electro" sound; it sounds all like HUGLAGHALGHALGHAL

Re: Keyboard?
Yeah I mean to be completely honest I was going to head down to the local dawsons to have a little play. But I was wondering if anyone had got anything similar in the past.

Re: Keyboard?
If weighted keys are a must, Id tell you to get an m-audio, you wont get a full 88 for that price though, IMO, you wont need more then 2-3 octaves to learn to play the keys anyway, unless, you wanna play the pink panther theme.

Re: Keyboard?
You can get a casio CDP-100 for 399 USD from any decent dealer.
with fully weighted hammer action keys and both midi in and out, you can't go wrong.
399 USD = 299 EU btw

my bad team.

Re: Keyboard?
M-Audio makes some nice cheap midi keyboards. I current own an oxygen 49 and I love it. Its 4 octaves (plus octave up and down) transpose keys and I've learned quite a bit of how to play. It's all about memorizing chords and scales anyway so I think a 49 key would suit you well. I only paid like a $120 for it new.
Re: Keyboard?
axiom pro for full control at a reasonable price!

Re: Keyboard?
ive got the oxygen 49, and yes its a fine midi keyboard, but what the OP is asking NO dont get the oxygen 49! or the axiompro in that case(fkin sweet midi keyboard though getting it at the end of this month), my dad has a Yamaha and learning to play piano on it, he's really enjoying it and no problems with those whatsoever.

Re: Keyboard?
if you checkout free ad magazines/gumtree/freecycle you can usually find them free, only issue is actually getting them to your house and obviously having the room to keep it.Sirius wrote:to the OP. bro if you wana learn to play....

that and fitting them through the door
most of the time a piano is a permanent addition to where it is placed
