YouTube Resource Thread

Post by gonzodj » Tue Nov 30, 2010 4:12 pm

i personally think that the greatest addition to the world in recent times would be youtube. the ability to engage someone visually and audibly was something you could only do in school, but with youtube i have found a great deal of videos dealing with music production and they are all awesome. i propose another thread or an addendum to the resource topic we have now with links to different youtube videos for the different topics.

any supporters? all i've been doing today is looking on youtube for production tutorials and it's helped my understand far beyond what i could have comprehended.

^ That videos a good example of how easy it can be to make a beat - despite its comedic/silly setting.

I often watch it to remind me to strip things down and just make something what grooves.

Whenever have I made a stupid troll-esque post?

i really think there should be a subforum for actually writing music as opposed to producing it.

Without writing you don't have production and without production you can't make your ideas sound as good as they can be - they go hand in hand and should both be treated as important.

two completely different beasts, maybe in dubstep you can't have it but in terms of anything outside of electronic music... -r-

the writing is much more important than the production.

they do blur with electronic music because the producer is the writer usually, but they are two different things.

This thread is an excellent idea. Does anyone know of any good final mix-down /mastering vids for FL / Ozone? The only one I can seem to find is the D&B mastering vid

Anyyyy wayyyy... Back on track guys.

This guy is great for logic and non logic production (altho it does revolve around logic only, but you can still learn a thing or two if not)
