You dont need a Wii... but they are fun. You just need the Wii remote and then a bluetooth device and if your running windows then you need an IR Sensor you can make 1 too. I use a program on here called WiiToMidi but theres loads of other programs out there that you can write a script to use the wiimote as drum sticks, x-y controller... play games like Counterstrike...
