Yeah mate, my family live out there.
Am coming out on the 23rd. May talk to the cavern or opera owners about doing a night will i am out.
If you need any new gear check out Slopestyle on the rue de bourg, its my sisters shop, got really nice stuff.
Also they are having a party soon and they are always a good laugh before all the tourists are around!

Morzine is usually my ski destination whenever I go. Thought about doing a season before going to Uni but i thought that is something to do after..
Not really looked into it though as a season because of the decision i made. Hows it going out there? What did you do about getting out there? You there through one of those schemes where you work and ski? Love some more info from you mate.

@cookinbudos - gimme a shout nearer the time would love to get in on that night! Its wicked out here most snow seen at the beginning of the season for a while i have been told. (bout 2 and a half foot) slopes dont open till tomorrow so havent skied yet. No job for me, i want to get like single day cleaning work but got a little bit of money tucked away to keep me goin gonna be tight tho. its horrible being away from my decks tho, but get lots of time to listen to music while i ski of course!

I went to Morzine last January, was definitely one of the best places I've been to.
I remember going into that Opera place altho it was a pretty weird night to be honest in terms of music and the people there.
Be sure to head over to Avoriaz for this black run they have over there called the black wall or something, thats intense!

just called 'The Wall' bro.... they have all types of next safety signs and warnings that scare the shit out of everyone..its got a bad reputation because has had a few deaths on it, the angle of the slope just means that if you bail higher up, you might not land again until you are waaay down the piste..suicidesound wrote:I went to Morzine last January, was definitely one of the best places I've been to.

Its really not that bad though, its a bit over hyped.... it can be a hard and icy face though, and the moguls on it are fucking massive, if you stand on one mogul, the one behind you is over ur head heightwise

definitely man, i remember standing on one of the moguls at the top and thinking what have i got myself into, altho apparently moguls are easier on a board, which I was on (i've never ski'd).
I was doing it in this pretty harsh blizzard too which didnt make visibility too great, so it probably isn't all that bad in normal conditions

yeah bad visibility can turn anything into a nightmare. Id rather go and find some off-piste than ski moguls to be honest, especially hard ones that have been there for months! that shit takes it out of ur thighs, just sheer burn!
Fuck im excited about going, got the snowboard wallpaper on the desktop, spending an hour a day on kit websites, ha standard procedure. + heard also that early signs of snow in the alps is deeeecent.

I have seen a few pictures of the snow and it looks amazing!
The wall is actually a really good laugh with powder on it at the beginning of the season, it gets too moguly at the end.... There are a couple of good couloirs up there as well.
The opera is indeed a very strange place, but that is mainly due to the crowd and the terrible euro music, it also looks a bit like studio 54! However the guy who owns it is a massive legend and has a very cool car collection.
Just got the phone numbers for the managers so will give them a call and see if I can get a dubstep night going while i am out there. If anyone wants to get involved pm me.
