I have the same keyboard but I use Logic, but I know from the keyboard I believe you can choose what "preset" you want to use for each specific DAW. Not sure if Ableton is in there, but I found a tutorial on YouTube on how to control transport from keyboard an all that good stuff. So actually I took 1min and searched YouTube and found this. Google and YouTube can work wonders friend.

Have you installed any driver updates from the Ableton site?

Are you running it off an AC adaptor, or purely being powered from the USB?

Could be that your overloading your USB if you've got a lot of other devices running off USB as well. You could try unplugging all other USB items and see if it starts working then. A powered USB hub would be a long term fix to this.

Do you get the new hardware detected noise when you switch it on?

Try using a mains adaptor and see if that fixes the issue
