Jah is the Creator. Shaka, for those who know their history, is the name of the African Warrior the 'King of the Zulus'. For those who know their reggae & dub, Jah Shaka is the name of the undisputed king of the sound system. Without a shadow of doubt.
In Ethiopia the 7th of January is a time of great celebration. According to the ancient orthodox calender it is Christmas Day, known as Genna in Africa & beyond. It is thus fitting... that In Amsterdam in 2011 we are able to celebrate this day with the Zulu Warrior in session, playing on the Mighty King Shiloh sound system.
Add to this the ganja capital of Amsterdam and the picture is complete!
