Using a 'brostep' groove was done to death by nu metal bands back in the '90s as it is. It ain't nothing new.

Those slow-ass groove heavy drums are derived from funk rock. Makes sense seeing as every nu metal band wants to be Faith No More.

Agreed, a lot of their tunes can be like that. But their live act is really where it's at, one of the best shows I've ever seen.
