New Zealand's first Dubstep internatty.

Post by future one » Mon Mar 26, 2007 8:33 pm

Just saw Mala from Digital Mystiks on the weekend which also happened to be New Zealand's first dubstep international!

It was such a sick night, great vibes from start to finish!

Mala played a really diverse set ranging from the deep and dubby to massive tunes that made the whole place go nuts.

Highlight for me was hearing 'Anti War Dub' while puffing on a spliff and seeing the whole crowd dancing their asses off.

Also big ups to Jason Howson for a wicked warmup set.

haha wow fuckin nice i didnt realise there were that many people there!! i'm over on the far left, glasses and metal tshirt. awesome night, heavyweight bass until the subs got turned down...thought they were blown and couldnt dance to dubstep without subs while tripping so we ended up leaving...have to get more of that strictly 138 shiznit!

...i went out the next day and spent another $70 on records, have to get my mixin up to scratch and get on the decks with yous all!

Thats me in the ramones shirt in the middle. It was a wicked wicked night. 2 hour set, brilliant. It was diverse and spiritual, such a nice vibe. It was interesting to see some DnB dj's turn up after just finishing there gigs. The Antiwar re-rub was the bomb that turned Galatos to rubble.

Any NZ Auckland people want to do a Dubstep colab?
