growl type muffled bass tutorial

Post by swaggasaurus » Fri Dec 17, 2010 7:20 pm

im quite new to producing, this may be a really simple bass, or already on the forum i wouldnt know what to search for if it was, but anyway
i use fruity loops 9 as my software , mainly using, massive & sytrus as my vsts, i can get any other if needed for this though,
i was just browsing, looking at tunes an i came across this monster by dubcrookz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1jyQBYDMGo&feature=fvst
and the main bass, besised the yoii, is a growlyy type muffle style bass, ive fallen in love with it, and would love to know how to make a similar bass ? tips for fruiy loops only please, thank you

Now, how are you going to go about getting "any other if needed?" Lol, kidding ;]

But, all DAW's can do the same thing..

look at the resampling threads...splitting frequencies and treating them seperatley with different effects and such etc etc etc...just keep playing around with these techniques and eventually you'll get something you like....just dont expect to get that exact sound real quick...like fuzz said you gotta put the hours in!
