i don't think it's junglists - more junglists who post on doa/messgae boards.
half of them are stnuc & can't help spouting that kind of bullshit in the quest to appear knowledgable or funny. i'm sure you'll get the same thing happen over here if the shoe was on the other foot as well though

Yeah, the only problem with Dubstep is that it SUCKS. (Now, maybe if you added a repeating snare at 175 bpm, you'd have something.)

Just as many dickheads on this forum bitching about things they don't know about. Dubstep and DnB heads are pretty much the same crowd and by bitching about them, you're just making yourself look foolish. Mainstream DnB may not be the sound you like, but constant bitching about stuff you really shouldn't care about is the downfall of ALL internet message boards.

Ive got to say I think this forum (at least at the moment) is very good when it comes to not bitching about things they dont know about. I cant remember who but someone somewhere said whats special about here is peoples ability to present their opinion as just that. Not as fact. I thought it was a pretty fair comment.
But also, who ever said people bitching about something they dont know aaaaalll that much about is all that bad? If its still put forward as an opinion it deserves as much respect as any other post, aslong as that person accepts that its just more likely to be shot down factually, s'all. An opinion is still an opinion, just uninformed perhaps.
...or at least thats my opinion

"Just as many dickheads on this forum bitching about things they don't know about."
I used to spin jungle/DnB (from 1995 to 2002) but lost interest in the scene. I think I know what I'm talking about....

agreed 100%
@ SHNYDE - DOA does have a large proportion of the type of people you're describing, but also has some very safe + knowledgable heads.

I thought that most of the peoples here were ex-dnb people anyway by the sounds of it.
I mean dnb has it's moments but most of them were ten years ago

Hmm....

The point I was trying to make, is that dnb has changed, perhaps not for the better or a lot of heads that were from our time of being into it. Yeah it sounds like synth n' snare more than anything else to me nowdays. But there are plenty of people who just blindly hate dnb on this forum without really appreciating the scope and spectrum of the genre, just as the ignorant lads on doa do the same. There's dnb out there I do like still, just nothing that gets played at these mainstream jump up nights. Same as dubstep I guess!
