reason malström modulation problem

Post by olipher » Sun Apr 01, 2007 12:45 pm

hi there!

i just started producing dubstep. tried a lot of synths for doing the typical wowow basslines. finally i ended up with the malström synth in propellerhead's reason, because i know this on very well and was able to create really great, monster like dubstep basslines fast and intuitive.

so, but here's the prob: i do the filtermodulations over the modulator b with the half sin waveform, which works fine over the 1st bar, but it looses snyc after that. after about 6 bars, the first tone ist perfect again. so inbetween that, when there's a note-on, the filter is somewhere but not at the beginning, even when i just do for example one qarter note on beat 1 of every bar. (and the synced rate is 1/4)

anybody of you made the same experiences? i also tried to toggle legato, tweeking with the filter envelope, ... nothing sloved the prob.

i'm working on a G4 PB, with logic 7.2 and reason as rewire slave.

any help???
thx!
olipher

for wowow bassline id try the subtractor but each to their own. Just keep playing with the malstrom though you will get it eventually. Its kinda hard to explain on a forum.

I think it's the fact that you are re-wireing. Check that your tempos are synced from host to slave.

and check if your looppoints are accurate. (i guess so, but you never know)
