Why are there so many song that have no substance?

Post by DJSmileys » Mon Jan 10, 2011 1:11 am

Serious? Why is it that almost every song i hear people put up here have no real sounds in there songs?

let me explain

Im all for a build up intro, but not one that takes 1 minute plus and all you hear is a couple kicks and high hats every few seconds. its not even the fact that the intro is long but more so the fact that theres barely any sounds at all building up to the drop. And man WTF is up with some of these drops? I want hear a song that when it drops, my mind explodes out the side of my skull!!! I dont wanna hear a couple wobbles and the repeditive skimpy beat line that i just heard for the last minute and a half.

Example 1

First off its the same beat for almost 2 minutes before it starts to change it up alittle bit.
So there is no drop in this song......
I mean yah the songs chill and its not that i dislike what the song is...... but .......

I need real dubstep songs! Ones that are powerful with high energy and would rock a crowd hard, not make them chill and pass out :/.....

Idk maybe its just the crowd i have in vegas but alot of those songs are to slow to use anywhere execpt a small kickback.

This is the kinda songs im talking about :D

See and this ones even got a long intro, but its amazing! it build up and then when it drops,it implodes people brains to another dimension! Thats what dubstep is all about!!!!

So please im not hatin on any artist, i respect everyone who has created music because ive been learning how hard it is myself, but im just saying this cause it seems like nobody is bringing heavy hitter to the plate and i want to see more of that.

So everyone!!! Post you favorite heavy hitter, high energy, drop and make your mind explode track below! I wanna hear some real dubstep! :m:

qawwali does have a drop and it's massive.

it's part of the "less is more" thought. i'd say if you don't like qawwali, you may not understand dubstep.

and i'd say a lot of the songs like dr. sin are the ones that have "no substance"

qawwali was released 5 years ago and it still comes up in conversation almost weekly. how long till dr. sin gets brought up again?

Not that I condone this sort of behaviour....but is this the sort of thing you're looking for?

I thought he meant it the other way around, Pinch being tha thing he feelin' and Dr. Sin (although not a bad tune) being what he disliked... then I saw post "in be4 shitstorm" then I read and I was like wtf is he on about o.O

:u:

Now back to "this is England" :D

Anyway I don't think you should start topics about you disliking something anyways, leave it be when you dislike it, don't start with hating on it. In addition to that -sorry for bringing it up but will get mentioned anyway :D- about the whole broshizzle stuff just leave it be enjoy the music that ya like and listen to that, no point in slander anywayz will only get more noticed and yes it's a damn shame that beautys like Glut don't get the respect and popularity they deserve and other -bliep, bliep bliep tunes do get that "attention" but most people are ignorant anyway (yes even the ones hatin' on brostep or them artist are ignorant as well) so why give a fuck :D
oh well I know saying this is pointless but :/
"If your chest ain't rattlin it ain't happenin'" - DJ Pinch
