Greetings from a noob
thought this might be the place to say hello.
Noob to the whole 'bass music' scene really, i've been into the music for a while, and been trying my hand at making some (links in sig). I'm too old to be doing this tbh, but have always loved bass-led dance music, and was into dub long before that. tend to be into the 'mellower' and future garage kind of end of things rather than huge heavy whobs, but it's all about the beat and the bass.
i suspect i'll be grovelling for feedback on tunes etc, as i'm based in the yorkshire dales, not hitherto known for it's love of dubstep/garage.
so, erm, hello!

Welcome! You're never too old to be making bass music mate, after all it's the tops that go first with your hearingkoro inu wrote:I'm too old to be doing this tbh

Welcome
Kudos for your use of 'hitherto' in an opening post, though the correct form is "hitherto unknown" in this instance.

Re: Greetings from a noob
@ wub, well, the stuff i'm making now is getting less and less 'breaks'. i'm still doing it, got some remixes to do etc, but they stuff i'm feeling is the stripped back bassmusic type vibe, along with the old skool breaks sounds that loads of bass music seems to be using.
so i thought i'd join up here properly really. trying to get my hussle on and get my head into 'the scene' a bit more than just buying tunes, know what i mean?
as for the things i'm digging right now: that helixir album is wicked (think it's on 7even?), ramadanman (standard), setspeed, id/bao, pangea, stuff on fortified, isp, bassmuic blog, frijsfo, hessle, hyperdub, sully, cooly g, james fox, actraiser, xxxy... that kind of vibe.

And yes welcome......its quite refreshing having a self proclaimed noob who isnt just looking for ''real dubstep'' aka Borgore, Datsik etc etc.
