Re: Creating a rise?
add lfo/envelopes to panning, pitch, send levels to reverb/fx etc. Or reverse a crash
Re: Creating a rise?
Makes your own 4/8/16 bar synth patterns of one long note. Run through a mixer channel and add a few effects (Delay, Reverb, beat repeater, filter, glitch, dist etc etc). Automate the parameters over the length of the note. Bounce. Repeat with different parameters/synth noises/effects. Bounce. Repeat.

FSTZ wrote:I went into detail on this in another thread called "risers"
set an lfo to a really slow rate (6-12) and send to osc 1 and 2
set it so the lfo is triggered when the key is pushed
set the symmetry to a positive value (127 on my synth)
mess with the oscillator wavs so it doesn't sound generic, maybe layer with filter sweep and noise
easily done
Re: Creating a rise?
here is a real easy basic one
If I use massive or Malestrom
OSC 1 square and link lfo to pitch at say 24. Star the rate of slow and automate to as fast as possible. while doing this also automate pitch bend 24 octaves up
add white noise filter in from low to hi so it kinda tails in towards the end.
at a bit of delay, reverb and what ever other effect you like to add

sample odd textures, i.e. distortion, feedback, a lawnmower, etc. Whatever you can get, and filter it like you would white noise. Or pitch it or something.

Pitch down a boring sound, add mad effects (flanger/chorus/delay/phase/reverb etc) then automate the effects all over the shop, filter and you've got some totally mental sounds.

Re: Creating a rise?
By run through mixer channel do you mean using the send controls to send to another channel and adding the effects over there? What is the advantage of that? What do you mean by bounce?wub wrote:Makes your own 4/8/16 bar synth patterns of one long note. Forgive the newbie Q's still getting a handle on all the lingo. Fuck some of you UK guys use slang I don't understand either ha.
Re: Creating a rise?
offtopic: what does "bounce" mean in production lingo? i see it here all the time, drives me nuts.

Re: Creating a rise?
bounce = render to audio (typically to a single stereo or mono audio track)
