I've got this one and it's great, seems to be very reliable.

You can probably pick it up a bit cheaper elsewhere.

It's 320gig, although I reckon you could get a 500gig one for a bit more.

Anything by Lacie is usually quite solid, never had any problems. Get yerself tottenham court road and you can usually pick on up, pretty cheap.

320GB for £90 is a bit of a bargain.

Are you usin PC or Mac?

What sort of media will you be storing on the harddrive?

How capacity would you like the harddrive to be?

Would you like it to have USB 2.0, firewire 400/800 or an eSATA or SATA connection?

What's this got to with Dubstep?

PC World have cheap harddrives but not particularly good. Most of their hard drives will be fine for non-proffesional usage requirements though.

Id advise a Maplins or a CPC. Also online ... www.scan.co.uk

Or alternatively buy an IDE hard drive and a usb case for it as below.

seagate, toshiba, or you can buy a caddy, and fit any internal hdd in it.

however, best deal ive seen recently is on amazon - 500 gb, western digital, only £115.00

LaCie's can be a pain. I've particularly had problems with the one designed by porsche...whatever that one's called.

Look at many, many customer reviews on the internet before purchasing. My two pents. ;-)

ive got a maxtor 320 gig (although its bulit by seagate)

got it at pc world for under a bill think theyve got a deal on

not problems so far, think it would be good for music use.

i do film so would have preferred to get one with firewire as the maxtor only has usb, but i think audio files are smaller so shouldnt be a problem
