Hey Dubstep Forum,

I really don't want this to come across as spam but thought you might be interested in checking out two FREE downloads from my new band Ink Project - in the style of electronic/soul. We've just finished our debut album of dubstep/soul material and looking for an early 2011 album release but these older tracks 'Snake' and 'Flicker' are avaliable to download for free at the following links:

A bit about the band:

Ink Project are an original London-based electronic/alternative/soul duo consisting of vocalist Melanie Dymond and producer Jez Lloyd.

The pair first joined forces in 2007 after meeting on the London underground clubbing scene and have since then recorded together and taken the project live throughout the UK between 2007-2008 – showcasing their distinctive sound at top venues including The Dogstar in Brixton, The Big Chill Bar in Kings X, Cargo in Shoreditch, Audio in Brighton, The Magnet in Liverpool and Timbuktu in Bristol.

Both originally from South London, Mel’s distinctive vocal style and lyrics have been compared with legendary singers including Martina Topley-Bird (Tricky and Massive Attack), Macy Gray, Eryka Badu, Skye Edwards (Morcheeba) and Lou Rhodes (Lamb) amongst others. Outside of Ink Project, she has had a string of releases including 'Slippery Heights' and 'The dot that wholes your I' as a guest vocalist with house producer and DJ Asad Rizvi. She currently resides in Barcelona and holds a DJying slot at well-known undergound music bar 'The Room’ playing an eclectic range of funk, hip hop, house, breakbeat, dubstep and electronica.

Jez is a multi-instrumentalist and producer based in London. After playing guitar and jazz flute in a variety of rock and jazz bands from an early age as well as an initial foray into house and techno, he soon developed a passion for song-based electronica and most recently dubstep; working with rising electronic prodigy James Blake (Hemlock Recordings, R&S and ATLAS) and Peter Jones (Bugz In The Attic and Asian Dub Foundation) before returning to work on an upcoming debut Ink Project album with Mel. His influences and production style are massively diverse and have been described as 'hitting a point between the post-dubstep of Mount Kimbie, the electronic soul of Bonobo, the trip hop of Tricky and Massive Attack whilst blending in house and techno rhythms washed-over with ambient film soundtrack-like material.'
