Hard to say. So many good releases out there.

I suppose either of Clubroot's albums definitely hits the spot for me.

Arctic Monkeys - Leave Before The Lights Come On
Arctic Monkeys - Who The Fuck Are Arctic Monkeys
Toasty - The knowledge/Like Sun
Coki - Red Eye

I think there are certain factors that contribute to being a favourite release. Obviously the main reason is the music but I do think that who, when, label, originality, influence have to be taken into account. For me it has to be Loefah - Root / Goat Stare. Loefah Being one of the Pioneers of the sound, Dmz being one of the if not most respected labels for the scene. Both tracks are so original and unique even now, the percussion is so different from anything else, no poor imitations have followed which keeps the dignity of both tracks. Everything about this release is sublime, even the colour of the label sets the mood.

anti war dub

it pains me that i will never be impulsive enough to just buy one off discogs for a ridiculous amount of money despite the tune being unrinseable for me.

We're talking only dubstep, right? If not it's Music For The Jilted Generation by The Prodigy.

Dubstep-wise:
Gonna agree with Reso's Temjin EP but I have a few others:
Liquid Stranger - Mechanoid Meltdown *first good dubstep-only artist album imo*
NOISIA - Alpha Centauri (Excision & DatsiK remix) *best track they've ever produced together, a real & complete tune, not just beats and bass*
SKisM - Down With The Kids *The 3 original tracks are completely different, love all of the Prodigy samples/nods in Rave Review*

If you like music trying to pin down a favourite release ever is virtually impossible.
