they sound good, especially "artcore steppa." i notice the dl is only 128 and there is no where to purchase a 320, is this only being released on vinyl?

Nice, glad you like 'em.

128 is currently the "standard" bit rate for Polymorphic releases. Not entirely convinced that 320 is needed (but that's another thread).

No vinyl or CDs planned yet (i.e. free, 128kbps and netlabel only) - that could change if there's enough demand tho..

Not entirely convinced 320 is needed? The sound quality degrades and is noticeable on loud systems. I actually notice it on my mp3 player also.

Personally, I would never play anything below a 256.

yeah, if its under 256, it just sounds to compressed.. otherwise i'd play that tune.

dynamite skank - cool sounds, but kind of drags on for me.
artcore steppa - loving this one, def would like a 320kbps mp3 of this one...
low & feary - reminds me of autechre, tri repetate++ era...

dope tracks, the artcore steppa one is my fav though.

LOL - yea, all these tracks are jammed out, with minimal post production. Aiming for dub production style. In fact, all I really did was shorten them down after. Perhaps I shoulda shortened Dynamite Skank more ;)

@oceanzen - player is Flash based and should work fine in Safari AKAIK ? You can download the tracks anyhow, click the icon in front of the track name. Props for "Perfume" on myspace, wicked track. You got anymore stuff about for DL ?

@drum syndicate - Fair point, never really compared bit rates on a proper sound system. Can't hear much difference at home tho..

I'll see if I can sort out some 320s..

Just listened to Dynamite Skank.
Cool track.
I like how the beat gets a little bit more tricky towards the end, especially those talking synth bleeps. I did feel it took a little long to get going though.
Nice deep bass line aswell, Good Stuff :D

artcore steppa is the best tune on this ep, the bass is crazy & drumz sounds cool also. of course it doesn't sounds as good as 320's but it's quite well mixed for me

space is the place - couldnt have named it better if you called it "this track is super minimal". so much space in this track i wanna move in. its like a huge empty old mansion

4aces - got that Burial vibe on this one. abandoned house, foggy street corner in the rain dub

square bobby - skeleton ghost of dub. gave me goosebumps. when the melodies start dropping in its really sad and melancholy. lost and lonely.

drums and basses - the switch up in the drums is awesome, completely unexpected!

all these tracks are so minimal. production and clarity is super tight. excellent ep mate. really feeling this one

would love to get my hands on these, let me know when you get some release plans going!
