PC users... what program do you use to record?
PC users... what program do you use to record?
i've been using audacity. would like something better. gimme one that allows me to bust up the set into individual tracks when i push seek on a CD, but will play continuously if i just let it play.
cheers

Re: PC users... what program do you use to record?
I used to use Audacity and record it as one whole set (obviously) then just cut and paste the tracks individually within Audacity. Then I think (its been a long time) I put it into Itunes then hit the option to "play as gapless CD" or something similar then burn to disc.
Was hardly ideal or easy but it worked.

I use adobe soundbooth - think Audition is better suited to it (havent used it myself) but soundbooth is still the absolute nuts compared to anything non-adobe..

Why? It has a record button and a stop button for when you're finished and then when you want to listen to it, there is a play button?
What more do you want?

What I want to know is, in the event of a crash, which application is most likely to preserve my data?

Good point, but you're doing some nutty recordings, I'm just recording me hitting a piece of wood or a mix.ashley wrote:What I want to know is, in the event of a crash, which application is most likely to preserve my data?

Ableton is the best I've come across at recovering data and has saved my ass many a time.ashley wrote:What I want to know is, in the event of a crash, which application is most likely to preserve my data?
