Houston Texas Meetup

Post by X_S_ » Thu Jan 27, 2011 5:18 pm

I've been brainstorming on this for a while, a meeting of the minds if you will, production heads, coming together for a common cause, that would be bass and beats. There's a loose scene here but I recognize the potential for bigger things, better music, and a focus in building. Scenes that evolve from a communal aspect seem to have the ability to snowball, could be due tO many factors but I feel like the input of each persons energy plays a big part.Talking scenes like low end theory, project blowed, even SUC, are great examples.

I have this idea because from what I see, things are lacking here. Its Real clique-ish. There's no producers from this area, in all honesty and due respect, that are big enough to shun something Like this. I'm talking about a Space where people can bring their music tools, im thinking laptops because not everyone totes their drum machine around like I do, Put ego and all that blshit to the side, give feedback, collaborate, all that. this would be a public venue that I would arrange, Definitely up to suggestions on that. For example I was in Brasil the other day and saw they have a whole back area that's outside and empty. I'm sure some business owner somewhere would love to have their spot be the birthplace of a new movement. I'm not kidding.

This may come across as naive or something but I dont care how it's perceived. This is about good vibes, letting each persons talent shine, and using a collective to build something bigger out of, you know , parts coming together to build a bigger whole. Once there's a solid foundation we can think about getting money. really have only serious producers in mind, whether you make dubstep, garage, bass, I think you know if you fall under the umbrella. This is not a class for people who started making beats last year.

Feel free to pm me If you can dig it.
