Quality Samples? :)

Post by Strobe » Sat Jan 29, 2011 3:42 pm

Just kind of getting into dubstep and was looking for some nice samples. Seen sample sites like primeloops and loopmasters but im confused on which is best for what I am looking for:

- Good dubstep 1 hit drum samples ( Especially after some quality Snares and kicks)
- Rises (Uplifters and Downlifters)

And I was also hearing alot of vocal samples that have been heavily delayed and effected in a lot of dubstep songs. So I was looking for some kind of like jamacian or grime vocal samples aswell, only like a couple seconds long.

Thanks

for the drums I tend to like drum samples. For rises I tend to use a synth.

To find these I tend to use search. Or just wait till wub comments.

Vengeance packs are pretty rich in material. But for free samples try here:

I have some drum samples (one hits) from Prime Loops. They were a good ad to my library (they are having a 50% off sale, or at least they were). I've also heard good things about Goldbaby? Or something like that. There is a good thread about this floating around the boards somewhere.

I can't take credit for this, I found the link on the production forms:

Just make your uplifters/downlifters man. All you need is white noise, maybe one quiet square or triange wave, chuck some chorus, flanger, phaser, reverb or whatever you want on it, and give it a slow attack time.

you can even gate it to make it more interesting :)
