I'M waiting to see what the Traktor update will be! Also, im excited for the new Reaktor ensemble from twisted tools. Apparently it's a feedback based sound generator/effects ensemble. I was really impressed by Buffeater, so I figure this should be just as good!

Also my recent discovery of Four Tet, Boards of Canada and many other electronic artists has me much more interested than anything I've heard in dubstep in the last couple of years. Maybe I'm going to change religion and worship electronica.

Really excited to hear what garage is gonna come out this year. Especially from BRUISES and Fantastic Mr Fox. Also I bought Alchemy at the start of this year so looking forward to getting to know the ins and outs of that more.

i haven't seen anything particularly exciting announced hardware or software wise
cubase 6 is cool and all, just nothing i'm hyped over
the last thing that had my jaw drop was the DNA tech in melodyne
the inevitable drops in part prices and advancement in storage and cpu speeds i'm looking forward to

I'm personally looking forward to meeting DSF heads in April, increasing the mic collection and solid state drives becoming viable purchases (this year I tells ye this year!!)

Benga was without a doubt one of my faves, but I just could not listen to phaze one. Like, just painful to listen to.

Like deadly, the thing I'm most excited about is me. I'm putting together some hardware, and I'm getting more active with my midi control devices, and I'm just having a lot of fun working inside and outside the box.

Like, everything I tend to work on, I really like (until I kill it) but still, I'm going much further, I don't know what precipitated this kind of break through... I'm on some pain meds that have straightened some shit out. Feel like a young guy again. 2011 has been one of the best years (month) of my life so far.

Musically, I feel like I'm going back to my roots, and it feels good to be home. I'm really looking forward to spring and summer.

And oh yeah, I've been making some music with my wife, which has been a lot of fun. My mixer now has a his and her's section.

Oh yeah, I would be really psyched to see flsx released. I'm really into the features that they've added through all the betas, but I can't be arsed to work with versions of the app that expire. So have stayed at 9 all this time. I want 10 real bad.
