...This month’s ICEE HOT is way too big for anyone to miss, and if you have seen any of us out in the past few weeks, you might have already been harassed about this one. We are bringing out a lineup with TWO guests this month and we couldn’t be happier.

First up is the SF debut of DJ MikeQ, a name that you will soon be hearing a lot about. MikeQ comes from the legendary ballroom scene in New Jersey, which extends from the same lineage as the ballroom world depicted in “Paris is Burning”. His “Ha” edits recently blew our NYC fam away at TURRBOTAX® and we can’t wait to see what happens here. BRUSH UP ON YOUR VOGUE SKILLZ. We need some divas in the house to show MikeQ how SF gets down!

Rounding off the night will be none other than the legendary KARIZMA of Baltimore. Karizma is nothing short of a house legend. His deep, soulful, heavy syncopation has inspired so many young producers over the last 15 years, and can not be overlooked in any discussion of "funky house”. If you have not seen Karizma live, you may not know that this guy is seriously fire on the decks. He tears up CDJs like no one you have ever seen. Prepare to be completely blown away by his set. Don’t forget to DANCE while your mouth is agape in astonishment.

As always, residents Ghosts on Tape, Rollie Fingers, and Shawn Reynaldo will be there to make the dance proper.

The sound and club aren't bad, there's just too many rules that are enforced strongarm style, and in SF we have the luxury of attending venues that won't close their smoking sections early or bar someone entry because she's got weed in her purse.

I will not return either. It had to do with this fat, meathead, sausage faced bouncer that I almost got into a fist fight with. That dumb fucking pie eating log of blubber excrement ruined my night for no reason whatsoever and I did nothing to deserve the way I was treated. My frustration began with a bartender that had on a skin tight shirt of the band "DIO" or some sort of God awful 80's metal band that was similar. I had been buying drinks all night, and tipping well, when I walk to the bar with a 20 in my hand. The aforementioned bartender sees me and walks over. Before I order my drink I ask a question, "Can I park my car on this street or is there street sweeping?" which I felt was a legitimate question. Apparently I was mistaken because he rolled his eyes, said "How should I know", then walked away without even taking my drink order. I desperately wanted to screech, "You dumb fucking venereal disease infected hipster, wanna be roadie for Wilco or some Hyphy Rap Artist that makes you feel connected to the streets. I'll connect you to the streets by running you and your pussy ass fixie bike over in a dump truck while you cruise through the Tenderloin listening to your lime green iPod shuffle." I eventually found out that there was indeed street sweeping and that I needed to move my car by 2am.

At 1:50 I go out to my car and move it around the corner. I walk back up to the door at 1:55 and flash my hand stamp but the bouncer refuses to let me in. I ask why I can not enter and he does not answer me. I decided to just let it go because I figured the party was over at 2am anyway, so I just waited outside for my friends to come out so we could go home, but the music just kept going. As I stood outside talking to the smokers and pretty girls, I saw many people leaving the club (essentially freeing up space if it was a capacity issue), and the bouncer was allowing entry to all the pretty girls (but not me). It didn't really bother me at first, until it started to rain and my suede pumas were getting destroyed. I also had to piss really bad. After a half hour I went back to the bouncer at around 2:30 and said, "Can I go in now? The party obviously is going til 3am and I paid my 15 bucks like everyone else." He still denied me access and my blood started to boil. I could not understand why he was not letting me in and he was giving me no explanation. I had been there since before 10pm and had waited all night to see the headliner. I wasn't even drunk. I had 3 beers in almost 5 hours and had to sit through all the other DJ's, only to miss the one DJ I had really wanted to see. This was total bullshit and I lost my marbles. I started getting into a massive verbal argument with the fat fuck and we almost came to blows, but I was filled with too much rage and urine to give a shit. He was so massively large that I probably would have got stomped out, but I was treated too unjustly to back down. I truly felt discriminated against and will never back down from that sort of treatment unless I think death will be the outcome. A black eye and bloody nose is nothing compared to being bullied by some lunk head with a power complex and I refuse to be pushed around for doing nothing wrong.

Wow man. Sorry to hear that. We have stuff coming up all over the place... getting a little more nomadic since the 222 move. Hopefully we can find a place where everyone is happy.

Sorry to hear about the mess at SOM, I thought that place was alright. KODE9 there was DOPE!
