hah ah, this just dawned on me, that garage and house music is both named after buildings. what the..? anyone know how this came about? quite a mystery eh?

hard house was probably named for brick houses, and house probably for just panel siding i'd imagine.

i thought it was called garage, cos the people in detroit wanted to make house like the people in chicago, but made it slightly different, hence the different style music, hence it being called garage instead of house.
ps, i might be getting the cities wrong too, cos i know nob all.
