Now firmly settled at their new venue, we can safely say the move to East Village was a wise one! Londons premier bass heavy midweek knees up continue the charge with none other than a living legend in DJ Derek headlining for our Ranking Records takeover.
S.O.M.E has built its enviable reputation on eclectic line-ups of the freshest DJs week in week out. As such it's now THE midweek dance in London town. This week is no different. Born in 1942 DJ Derek is a simply a legend that has inspired innumerable artists from Jamaica and much closer to home including fellow Bristolians Massive Attack, with his undeniable knowledge of music, in particular reggae, ska, dancehall and soul music. Having played at some of the best events in the UK including Glastonbury, Bestival and the Big Chill(plus his love of ale has seen him visit every Wetherspoons pub in the UK!!), he is a welcome addition to SOME and we have no doubt this event will go down in East Village folklore.
In addition there is a support line up that beggars belief with The Heatwave, Gentlemans Dub Club DJ set, Ruckspin, Kahn and Dub From Atlantis featuring Celestine all on hand to provide a vibe that will send shock waves through east London.
