Unusual FL Studio 9.1 CPU Overflows

Post by Klimax » Thu Feb 17, 2011 2:04 am

Morning/Afternoon chaps, I've been using FL Studio for just over a year now and have recently updated to 9.x+
Only problem is, at complete random intervals the FL CPU updater will spike for a few seconds and everything will crackle.
Before I get the obvious answers, I'd like to add that I have ruled out any obvious performance issues.
So basically I just wanted to know if anyone else came across this issue? as its really putting a spanner in my production work.

multithreading is enabled
Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 3.0ghz (which windows says never goes past 40/50% usage with FL studio)
Asus Xonar D2X PCIe Soundcard
4GB of Ram
Using (extended memory).exe

I recently updated aswell and sometimes my CPU usage will spike if I have Dblue glitch enabled.

If you stay on the pattern that is using Dblue, it will be fine. If you change pattern that's when it normally goes apeshit. Just bounce to audio to solve the problem.

usually happens to me in Logic. it just might be multiple instances of certain plugins you have runnin. if you can you could just bounce any individual parts of your track and bring them back in. it's almost like you will be working with a bunch of stems.
